Rivella – a slice of Swiss history
The success story began back in 1952, when Swiss pioneer and Rivella founder Dr. Robert Barth created the wellness beverage Rivella Red – long before wellness became a household term. Based on valuable whey and a secret blend of herb and fruit essences, the unique recipe successfully met the taste of the time – which it still does to this day.
Six years after the launch of Rivella Red came the next ground-breaking innovation: Rivella Blue, launched in 1958, was Europe's first low-calorie beverage – it even appeared before the world market leader's 'light' products. Rivella Blue is ideal for those wishing to cut down on sugar.
Then in 1999 came Rivella Green. Containing stimulating green tea extracts, Rivella Green meets the need for a uniquely invigorating and particularly light refreshment: it proved to be yet another successful launch.
2008 saw the Swiss family enterprise establish its pioneering credentials yet again by launching an entirely novel type of beverage: Rivella Yellow – the different, plant-derived Rivella.
